About
Jacquelyn Autrey is here to serve you. She has been practicing yoga for 21 years and teaching yoga and meditation for 12 years. She received her Yoga Alliance 500 hour certification in 2014 through ISHTA Yoga (Integrated Science of Tantra, Hatha, and Ayurveda). She was a graduate of Sarva Yoga Academy in 2013 and completed the 18 courses from the Asian Classics Institute ( a 7 year course, condensed from the 20 year Geshe Degree in Tibetan Buddhism at Sere Mey Monastery). She has completer 3, (solo & silent) month long meditation retreats in this lineage (Lerung - Tibetan). She completed Course 1 of the Sedona College of International Management Teacher Training and the First Three Jewels Meditation Teacher Training in 2017. She also received Reiki 1 in 2021.
Jacquelyn teaches to each individuals’ needs through the practices of compassion, meditation, and the 8 Limbs of Yoga. She incorporates the lineages of Hatha yoga, Ayurveda, and Tibetan Buddhism to empower and heal her students. The breath is a strong focus in her asana classes, as well as using safe alignment, pranayama, heat building asana postures, kriyas, and meditation to bring the body and mind into sync, allowing for an opening of the subtle psychic channels, a calming of the nervous system, and a rewiring of the brain for sustainable happiness. Her meditation classes are backed by a 2,000-year-old lineage passed from teacher to student and a daily practice of meditation, service, asana, and study.
Jacquelyn currently teaches privately, online from her home in Sedona, AZ. She has taught online, in person and international for clients such as the Yoga Studies Institute, the Asian Classics Institute, Diamond Cutter Classics, Three Jewels Enlightenment Studio NYC, and ISHTA NYC.
She is eternally grateful for all of her teachers: Geshe Michael Roach, Venerable Jigme Palmo, John Brady & Constance O'Brien, H.E. Jamyang Sakya, H.H. Sakya Trinzen, Hector Marcel, Thupten Phuntsok, Michael Hewett, Sarah Tomlinson, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Alan and Sarah Finger, Peter Ferko, and Mona Anand, who have all opened her heart to wisdom and a drive to reach Enlightenment for the sake of all beings.

Classes
In-Person Yoga Schedule
Wednesday 10:30AM AZ Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra
at Village Yoga Sedona
This group class is a non-heated, gentle, slow, style of yoga that involves long passive holds. No prior yoga experience is needed to participate. In this practice you will experience a series of 5-7 poses that will be held for 3-5 minutes each. Students are supported by props to aid in releasing stress related patterns of tension that can lead to asymmetries and limited movement in the body.
This style of yoga restores the body to its parasympathetic nervous system function, which, in turn, helps the body rest and heal. By allowing time for longer postures and deeper breathing, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response. This response can help produce a feeling of calm and increased wellness.
This class is appropriate for all who desire more stillness, relaxation, and balance in their daily life.
